The shape of the work
About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Manager who thrives in fast-moving environments and loves turning customer insights into thoughtful product decisions. In this role, you’ll own major product areas end-to-end, from shaping strategy and defining requirements to partnering closely with design and engineering to deliver high-quality features.
This is a high-ownership role: you’ll have a seat at the table for decisions that influence the roadmap, architecture, and long-term vision of the product. If you enjoy autonomy, solving real customer problems, and shipping quickly, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
Own product strategy and roadmap for key areas of the platform.
Partner closely with engineering, design, and leadership to define and ship high-impact features.
Conduct user research, analyze customer feedback, and translate insights into actionable product requirements.
Define clear problem statements, success metrics, and product specs.
Drive prioritization—balancing customer value, effort, and long-term strategy.
Support feature launches, including documentation, internal communication, and rollout planning.
Monitor product performance and use data to guide iteration and improvement.
Help shape product processes, rituals, and cross-functional workflows as the company scales.
What We’re Looking For
3–6+ years of product management experience in SaaS or technology companies.
Strong experience building products end-to-end in close partnership with engineering and design.
Exceptional communication skills — you can clearly articulate tradeoffs, decisions, and customer needs.
Strong product intuition and ability to turn ambiguous problems into concrete plans.
Comfort working with both qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions.
Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments.
A collaborative, low-ego approach — you lift teams up and help them succeed.
High ownership mentality and comfort operating with autonomy.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in early-stage or growth-stage startups.
Background in B2B, enterprise workflows, or complex technical products.
Familiarity with basic technical concepts (APIs, data flows, system integrations).
Experience working directly with customers, sales, and support teams.
Ability to create lightweight wireframes or user flows.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
High ownership — you’ll shape major product decisions and see the impact quickly.
A product with strong early traction and a wide-open roadmap.
A collaborative, humble team that values learning, quality, and solving real customer problems.
Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.

Mossroot is committed to building a team as diverse as the supply chains we work on. We particularly welcome applications from groups under-represented in climate science.
