About the Role

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager who can lead a talented group of engineers while staying close to the technical work. In this role, you’ll guide the team through roadmap execution, drive engineering excellence, and ensure that everyone is equipped to do the best work of their careers.

You’ll partner closely with product, design, and other engineering leaders to define strategy, manage priorities, and build systems that scale with our growth. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and loves balancing people leadership with technical mentorship and decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

  • Foster an engineering culture focused on quality, velocity, and thoughtful technical decision-making.

  • Partner closely with product and design to plan roadmaps, define requirements, and ship high-impact features.

  • Support engineers through clear expectations, coaching, and regular feedback.

  • Drive engineering processes (planning, standups, retros, technical reviews) that help teams operate smoothly.

  • Ensure code quality, system reliability, and long-term technical health.

  • Help hire world-class engineers and shape the interview and onboarding process.

  • Remove roadblocks, improve cross-functional alignment, and ensure the engineering team is set up for success.

  • Contribute to technical discussions and provide guidance on architectural decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years in a people management role.

  • Strong technical background — you’ve built and shipped production systems and can guide engineers through complex decisions.

  • Experience leading teams in high-growth or startup environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to balance product needs, technical investment, and team health.

  • A track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in fast-moving environments.

  • A calm, supportive leadership style anchored in empathy and high standards.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with full-stack or distributed systems architecture.

  • Background in SaaS, B2B, or workflow-heavy products.

  • Experience scaling teams or guiding engineering orgs through growth stages.

  • Familiarity with modern frontend, backend, or infrastructure stacks (React, Node.js/Go/Python, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, etc.).

  • Interest in shaping organizational culture and long-term technical strategy.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • High autonomy and influence — you’ll shape the engineering team and the company’s technical direction.

  • Direct impact on a product with strong early traction and big growth opportunities.

  • A humble, collaborative culture that values learning, quality, and thoughtful communication.

  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.
