The shape of the work
About the Role
We’re looking for a Recruiter to help us find, engage, and hire world-class talent across engineering, product, design, and business functions. In this role, you’ll run full-cycle recruiting, partner closely with hiring managers, and help shape the processes that enable us to scale effectively.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with the Head of Recruiting and company leadership. You’ll have the autonomy to experiment, iterate, and refine the way we identify and bring great people into the team.
What You’ll Do
Run full-cycle recruiting across multiple functions — sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements and team needs.
Build and nurture strong candidate pipelines using sourcing tools, outreach campaigns, and networking.
Deliver a consistent, inclusive, and exceptional candidate experience.
Maintain clear communication with candidates and hiring teams throughout the process.
Manage job postings, pipelines, interview scheduling, and ATS workflows.
Track key recruiting metrics (pipeline health, passthrough rates, time-to-fill) and share insights with the team.
Continuously refine recruiting processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Represent the company at events, meetups, and other talent engagement opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
2–5+ years of recruiting experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Experience recruiting for technical and non-technical roles.
Ability to build strong pipelines through proactive sourcing and outreach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing many open roles at once.
Ability to work closely with leadership and hiring managers to prioritize needs.
A people-first mindset paired with strong operational discipline.
High ownership and comfort operating in a fast-moving environment.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience recruiting engineers or product roles specifically.
Familiarity with modern ATS systems and sourcing tools.
Background in employer branding or talent marketing.
Experience supporting DEI-focused recruiting initiatives.
Passion for building processes and systems as the company scales.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
High ownership — you’ll directly shape the future of the team and culture.
Opportunity to grow quickly as the company expands.
A collaborative, low-ego environment with strong support from leadership.
Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.

A bit about the team
You'll join a group spread across our European studios — academic backgrounds mixed with industry, peer-reviewed and opinionated. Quarterly we close ranks for a "field week"; recent ones included a co-op cocoa supplier in Ghana and a vertical farm in Lyon.
Mossroot is committed to building a team as diverse as the supply chains we work on. We particularly welcome applications from groups under-represented in climate science.
